President: Leong Weizhen
Leong Weizhen, as the Chief Medical Officer of Oriental Remedies Group, blends her biomedical science background with a Master’s in TCM, she seamlessly integrates traditional wisdom with modern advancements.
Weizhen’s clinical expertise shines through detailed diagnoses and personalized plans, addressing both symptoms and underlying imbalances. She demystifies complex TCM concepts, empowering patients on their health journeys.
Weizhen’s passion extends beyond her clinic. She hopes to use her role as the president of CMAA to be a vocal advocate for TCM’s advancement, promoting integration with modern technologies, and ensuring the continued relevance of this ancient tradition.
Vice-President: Koh Hwan Ling
Hwan Ling graduated with a Double Degree with an Honours in B.Sc. in Biomedical Science and Bachelor’s Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Nanyang Technological University and Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. She started the early years of her career at Bao Zhong Tang TCM Center and COMO Shambhala Urban Escape Singapore. She is now practicing full-time at Kin Teck Tong TCM, and is the Director of Kin Teck Tong (Plaza Singapura) outlet. She also volunteers at Kang Ming Free Clinic and is a member of the Society of Chinese Medical Research.
She is a believer in holistic health management and holding responsibility in one’s own health. She hopes to spread awareness of the benefits of TCM and help more people with the use of TCM.
During her free time, she enjoys reading and upgrading herself. She is also an avid sportswoman and often spends her off days in the outdoors, trekking, hiking and kayaking.
Secretary: Catherine Zhang Ning
Catherine graduated in 2019 and started working at TCM Healthcare, where she gained much experience in seeing various fertility and gynaecology cases. Thereafter, she worked as a chief physician at Novahealth TCM Clinic specializing in pain management and Robotic Tuina. Catherine is now practicing at NTU CM clinic.
Other than seeing patients, she provides educational talks to schools and mentors undergraduates in the Chinese Medicine programme at NTU. Working with alumni and undergraduates allows her to bring NTU Chinese Medicine graduates closer together. Moreover, she is passionate about changing the public’s perception of “young” physicians in Singapore.
To provide better treatment for her patients and to gain more learning experiences from medical experts, Catherine is also currently taking her part-time Master’s programme in internal medicine with the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine.
Treasurer: Klaryce Lim Si Hui
Graduated in 2019, Klaryce is from the 10th batch of Double Degree Programme in Chinese Medicine and Biomedical Sciences by NTU and BUCM.
She is currently the Brand Marketing Manager and Physician of THE TCM FOLKS, a house call-based TCM company started out by her husband/batchmate.
Inspired by her husband’s passion for promoting TCM, she assisted in creating a brand that aims to reimagine the way the world understands and experiences TCM. Besides seeing patients, she is also involved in creating content and conducting experiential and beneficial TCM workshops for corporate clients. Her clinical interest is in gynaecological-related problems.
Publicity and Publication Wing Chief: Aw Ching Yi Eunice
Eunice graduated from the TCM Double Degree programme jointly conducted by Nanyang Technological University and Beijing University of Chinese Medicine in 2020. Following graduation, she joined Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital as a Resident Physician, managing patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Currently, she practices at Chong Hoe Healthcare. She also holds other appointments such as Head of Outreach & Education, and Co-Branch Manager of the Clarke Quay branch.
Equipped with biomedical science knowledge, Eunice reconciles both Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine principles in her clinical practice to achieve holistic care. As someone passionate about raising health awareness and breaking TCM misconceptions, Eunice enjoys educating the public whenever the opportunity arises.
In her free time, she shares TCM and health-related information on Instagram through an original cartoon character @master.wugui she designed.
Outreach/Alumni/Youth Wing Chief: Amanda Kok Sam E
Amanda completed her Double Degree program in Chinese Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, jointly offered by Nanyang Technological University and Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, graduating in 2023. Eager to apply her diverse education, she embarked on her professional journey as a physician at Oriental Remedies Clinic. Embracing a holistic approach to healthcare, Amanda merges ancient wisdom with contemporary practices to foster harmony and wellness in her patients. Drawing from her scientific background and hands-on experience shadowing esteemed physicians, she is dedicated to crafting individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Beyond her clinical practice, Amanda finds solace in literature and cinema, indulging in reading and film-watching during her leisure time. With a passion for both healing and self-discovery, she strives to make a meaningful impact on the well-being of others.
Outreach/Alumni/Youth Wing Chief: Kwek Le Yin
Le Yin graduated in 2020 with a Double degree in Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Biomedical Sciences and Bachelor of Medicine (Chinese Medicine) conferred by NTU and BUCM respectively. She is currently practicing in Eu Yan Sang Premier TCM Centre and One Wellness Medical as a TCM Physician.
Her positive experience with TCM since young has fueled her interest and passion for TCM till this day. She hopes to bridge traditional practices with modern health needs, ensuring that more people can experience the effective touch of TCM just like how she did.
As one of the outreach/alumni/youth wing chief of NTUCMAA, she aspires to foster a close-knit, supportive community for all NTU TCM undergraduates and alumni through dedicated events and platforms for engagement, nurturing a space where every member feels connected and supported.
EXCO Member: Ho Chin Ee
Chin Ee graduated from the inaugural batch of the Double Degree in Biomedical Sciences and Chinese Medicine in 2010. She subsequently practiced at Singapore Thong Chai Medical Institution and developed a strong passion for clinical work, before heading back to BUCM for her postgraduate degree. She spent her postgraduate days understudying renowned physicians and published two peer-reviewed review papers. Upon graduation, she joined Raffles Chinese Medicine and subsequently Thomson Chinese Medicine till now.
Her passion in TCM and serving her fellow alumni has led her to be in the founding EXCO of CMAA, and channelled the collective wishes of the new generation TCMPs into the logo of CMAA. She also served in the previous EXCOs and represented CMAA in key dialogues. She believes that as long as the alumni stays united and committed to advancing TCM, TCM will have a role to play in our healthcare system.
