CMAA’s Homecoming cum Year-End Party was held at Floor 2F, Esplanade Mall on Saturday, 7th December 2019. The sumptuous feast and festive music got the atmosphere going as people began settling in with their food and beverages. A total of 46 participants including BMS undergraduates, alumni, family members and guests attended the event.
President Gabriel Chan’s welcome speech addressed concerns alumni have regarding the industry and encouraged all by sharing his own journey as a Chinese Medicine physician. Secretary Niklas Seet then briefed on Continuing Professional TCM Education (CPE) which will come into effect in April 2020 and reminded all to make good use of the Ministry’s TCM Development Grant (TCMDG).
With the bellies and minds filled, games were up next. Participants were randomly assigned into groups and pitted against each other in games that challenged their dexterity, creativity and professional knowledge. The lucky draw saw prizes sponsored by the Alumni Affairs Office as well as alumni clinics Oak Health Chinese Medicine, Oriental Remedies Group and NovaHealth TCM Clinic.
Amidst all the fun and laughter, it was the conversations and interactions between the different batches of undergraduates and alumni that was the most valuable takeaway. A group photo and log cakes signalled a perfect end to this wonderful evening.
