Continuing Professional TCM Education or CPE will be compulsory in the near future as the change to the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Act passed in Parliament on 11 Feb 2019. TCM practitioners are now required to accumulate at least 25 points a year or 50 points in 2 years to have their practicing certificates renewed. The amendment also increased the maximum fine that can be imposed on TCM practitioners from $10,000 to $50,000, should they be found guilty of professional misconduct or negligence.
